Bow Wow Wow was put together by Malcolm McLaren to promote Vivienne Westwood’s New Romantic fashion lines. Malcolm persuaded guitarist Matthew Ashman, bassist Leigh Gorman and drummer David Barbarossa, of the then line-up of Adam and the Ants to leave the founder of the band Adam Ant and form a new group. After a long audition process for a lead singer, the band hired Annabella Lwin.
Photographed at Bow Street Studios a real hub for fashion and music in Covent Garden. Run by a fantastic lady called Eve. This Studio was part of the basement underneath the Royal Opera House back in the day and now is no longer there. Gone but not forgotten.
