Blondie broke up after the release of their sixth studio album The Hunter

The band reformed in 1997, achieving renewed success and a number one single in the United Kingdom with “Maria” in 1999. The group toured and performed throughout the world during the following years, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Blondie

has sold 40 million records worldwide and is still active today.

Worked a few times with Blondie/Debbie Harry. Gigs, Photocalls and a session with just me and them.

This photo is from a photocall for “Hanging On The Telephone” some Hotel in London near Manchester Square not far from Chrysalis Records. I wasn’t a big fan of photo calls. To many photographers hustling for their shot. When you did a get a chance for your photo you only get minutes. I was lucky. Managed to get Debbie looking straight at my camera. Using available light Debbie’s made for the camera. Back in the day with real film exposed at 1000 ASA which is why it’s grainy and moody. Always loved shooting like this.
