The Stray Cats are an American rockabilly band. They were formed in 1980 by Lee Rocker, Slim Jim Phantom and Brian Setzer. The boys were from  Long Island town of Massapequa, New York. They had hits with singles  “Stray Cat Strut”, “She’s Sexy + 17”, “Look at That Cadillac,” “I Won’t Stand in Your Way”, “Bring it Back Again”, and “Rock This Town”in the UK, Australia, Canada and the U.S Their style was based upon the artists from the 1950s.They were heavily influenced by Eddie Cochran, Carl Perkins and Gene Vincent. The Stray Cats also mixed 1950 rockabilly clothes, drape jackets, brothel creepers with punk clothes, like tight black zipper trousers and modern versions of 1950s hair styles.

This photo shoot took place in Bow Street Studio’s which was underneath the Opera House. These boys were a lot of fun to work with but didn’t have a lot of time. The shoot lasted about 2 hours. No make up or grooming or styling. Just them turning up with what they had on. Bow Street Studio’s was run by a lovely lady called Eve. Such found memories. Not long after this we got our own Studio in Chelsea
