I photographed Thin Lizzy at least three times. — twice at Hammersmith Odeon and once at Wembley Arena.
And, of course, Hammersmith meant the usual problem…
More bumps on the head from walking underneath the stage!
This selection of photographs comes from all three gigs, so you’re getting a little mixture of Thin Lizzy across different nights and different stages with a few different line up’s.
Such a great band.
Phil Lynott had that presence where you could point a camera at him and something would happen. He had the look, the attitude and that unmistakable stage presence. Then you had Scott Gorham, Gary More or Brian Robertson, Brian Downey, guitars, Marshall stacks and that unmistakable Thin Lizzy sound and effin loud!
Looking back through these photographs now, it’s brilliant to see how different moments from three separate gigs can come together and tell the story of the band.
